Overview

Our 2 doctor boutique general dentistry practice is looking for a Dental Assistant with a cheerful, positive personality to join our team located in Fayetteville, GA 30214. The ideal Dental Assistant is preferred to have dental assisting experience but will consider a recent graduate from a formal dental assisting program with their X-ray license for the state of GA.

Must have strong communication skills and willing to help patients. We provide benefits and a nice work environment. This is a full-time opportunity with benefits. 

 

Hour: Mon, Tues, Wed 7:30-5:30 Thurs 7:30-2:30

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients according to established procedures and protocols.
  • Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
  • Offer information to patients and staff by addressing inquiries and fulfilling requests.
  • Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments.
  • Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
  • Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
  • Preserve patient appearance and chewing function by creating temporary restorations and maintaining removable appliances through cleaning and polishing.
  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
  • Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
  • Record dental care services by documenting in patient records.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Stay updated on professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing publications, building personal networks, and engaging in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills:

 

  • Must possess an X-ray license
  • Experience as a Dental Assistant or completion of a formal Dental Assistant program
