Overview

Gentle Dental is currently hiring a Dental Hygienist for our office in West Chester.  This is a can be a part-time or full-time position. 

 

Part-time would be at our West Chester location working Wednesdays & Thursdays (9:00-5:00) and Fridays (9:00-1:00).

 

Full-time would include additional hours at either our Media or Thorndale locations.

Gentle Dental is a well-established, successful practice, with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, in the heart of West Chester.  We truly value our hygienists and the important role they play in our success.  To ensure our hygienists get off to a successful start, the candidate we hire will go through a short training program, so when they begin to see patients, they will feel confident and comfortable in their new position within our team. 

 

Previous experience working as a hygienist is always a plus, but we also encourage new hygiene grads to apply as well.  The hygienist we hire must have an active hygiene license for the state of PA.   New hygiene grads must be applying for license soon.

Responsibilities

  • Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
  • Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral health treatment and dental care education in accordance with state-approved guidelines.
  • Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
  • Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
  • Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Active Dental Hygiene license for the state of Pennsylvania
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
