Premier Dental of Connecticut is hiring a full-time Dental Hygienist for our office located in West Hartford, CT 06119.

As a leader in the dental industry, we strive to keep up with the latest technology and are currently utilizing digital x-rays, 3D cone beams and Biolase diode lasers, and we are excited to be adding Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), in the near future.  We also ensure our hygienists have the tools and resources they need to deliver essential, personalized care to our patients.

 

Previous RDH experience is always great, but we also encourage new hygiene grads to apply as well.  Must have an active Hygiene license for the state of Connecticut. New grads must be applying for license soon.

Responsibilities

 

  • Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times 
  • Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
  • Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
  • Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
  • Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Active Hygiene license for the state of Massachusetts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
