Overview

Dental One Associates is looking for a Dental Hygienist for our office located in Oxon Hill, Maryland 20745.  This is a full-time position working Mon-Thur 8:00-5:00 and Fri 8:00-2:00, working assisted hygiene with your own DA.  

  • Up to $70 per hr + bonus over production goal
  • Training and use of the Biolase Hygiene Laser (Epic-H)
  • 2 days of acclimation/onboarding with hygiene coach prior to seeing patients, plus follow up visits from hygiene coach to offer additional help/support
  • Nitrous certification and/or Anesthesia certification paid for (if needed)

Our office is very modern with some of the latest technology, including digital x-rays, lasers, CBCT and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT).  We're a family-oriented office in a great location with free parking, right by the MGM and National Harbor.

Previous experience is always a plus but we also encourage new hygiene grads to apply as well.  Must have an active Hygiene license for the state of Maryland. New hygiene grads must be applying for license soon.  

Responsibilities

 

  • Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times 
  • Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
  • Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
  • Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
  • Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Active Hygiene license for the state of Maryland
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
