Dental One Associates at Belair is growing again!  We're looking for a Dental Hygienist to add to our highly skilled team of professionals in Abingdon, MD 21009. This is a full-time position working Monday-Thursday (8:00-5:00), Friday (8:00-3:00).   No nights or weekends!

At Dental One Associates, we have 18 operatories and we take pride in utilizing some of the latest dental technology, such as; overjet AI, 5D Itero Scanner, CBCT, hygiene lasers and we are looking forward to adding Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) in the near future.

 

Previous experience is always a plus but we also welcome new hygiene grads to apply as well.  To ensure our hygienists get off to a successful start, we offer a brief training program, so when they start seeing patients, they feel confident and comfortable in their new role within our team (Great for new grads as well as seasoned hygienists!).  The candidate we hire must have an active hygiene license for the state of Maryland.  New hygiene grads must be applying for license soon. 

 

We are conveniently located off of I-95 with many nice shops and restaurants nearby (nice for lunch breaks).

Responsibilities

 

  • Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times 
  • Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
  • Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
  • Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
  • Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Active Hygiene license for the state of Maryland
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
