We are looking for a Dental Hygienist in our Kids Family Dental office located at 1591 Rte. 22, Brewster, New York 10509 to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This person will handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations including cleaning teeth and examining oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. They also may educate patients on oral hygiene, take and develop x rays, or apply fluoride or sealants. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service and communication skills.

 

-Number of patients per day: 14 (2 per hour)

 

-Appointment times: 12 and under 30 minutes and 45 minutes for 13 and older.

 

-Additional perks: 56 hours of paid time off in year one and 80 hours after year two. 

 

-Bilingual: is a plus

 

-Schedule: Monday 10a-6p, Tuesday 10a-6p, Wednesday 9a-5p, Thursaday 9a-5p, Friday 9a-5p

 

-Pay: $50-$55/hour plus monthly incentive bonus available.

 

We have been working diligently to ensure all our patients and staff feel safe and protected while in our office.  We have all the proper PPE for the staff and are CDC COVID-19 compliant.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times 
  • Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
  • Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
  • Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
  • Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Desired Skills:

 

  • Active Hygiene license for the state you applied, required
