Baystate Dental is a well-established, successful practice, where we truly value our hygienists and the important role they play in our success.  To ensure our hygienists get off to a successful start, the candidate we hire will go through a short training program, so when they begin to see patients, they will feel confident and comfortable in their new position within our team.  Great for new grads!

 

This is an awesome opportunity as the hygienist we hire will be trained on laser and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), a new Swiss technology that's more effective and more efficient.  If keeping up with the latest technology is important to you, this is the opportunity for you!  

 

Previous experience is always a plus, but we also welcome new hygiene grads to apply as well.  Must have an active hygiene license for the state of MA.  New grads must be applying for license soon.   

Responsibilities

  • Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work and provide the highest level of care at all times.
  • Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
  • Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
  • Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
  • Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Active Hygiene license for the state of Massachusetts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
