Overview

We are looking for a Dental Hygiene Assistant in Baltimore MD, 21236. This ideal candidate is to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This person will handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations that range in complexity and skill with plenty of room to learn and grow. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service and communication skills. We offer competitive salary plus benefits!

Responsibilities

The following dental hygiene assisting duties are noted; however, other duties may be assigned:

  • Distributes and collects completed documentation from patient including medical history.
  • Sets up and breaks down treatment rooms, cleans & sterilizes treatment room.
  • Sterilize & maintain equipment & instruments.
  • Upholds office policy including HIPAA & OSHA
  • Greets and escorts patients into operatories and escorts them out.
  • Performs assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning & maintenance duties.
  • Reviews medical history and inputs into CPS. Asks initial consult questions from patient, records information and takes intra-oral pictures for doctor.  Fills out exam notes as dictated by doctor.
  • Ability to take clinically appropriate xrays.
  • Obtain and review needed consent for patient treatment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Completion of Dental Assisting Program preferred
  • 1 year of dental experience, required
