Overview

 

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist in our Dental One Associates- Woodbridge office located at 14520 Smoketown Road, Woodbridge, Virginia 22192-4719 to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This person will handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations including cleaning teeth and examining oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. They also may educate patients on oral hygiene, take and develop x rays, or apply fluoride or sealants. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service and communication skills.

 

For 20 years, our practice has been providing a wide range of dental services and specialties, all in one convenient local dentist office. We offer a family-friendly atmosphere and treat adults, as well as children from the age of three and up. 

Pay: $55-$60/hour plus monthly incentive bonus.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, and Friday 8A-2P

Patients: 9 per day with 60 minute appointment times (Appointment time may vary based on patients age)

Experience: 2 years of hands of experience prefered, X- Ray required, and Local anesthesia - Required.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times 
  • Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
  • Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
  • Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
  • Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Desired Skills:

 

  • Active Hygiene license for the state you applied, required
