Gentle Dental of Haverford is growing and we're excited to add another Dental Hygienist to our family practice, located in Haverford, PA 19041.  This is a part-time position with flexibility in the schedule.

To ensure our hygienists get off to a successful start, the candidate we hire will go through a short training program, so when they begin to see patients, they will feel confident and comfortable in their new position within our team.  Great for new grads!

Previous hands on experience is always a plus, however we also encourage new Hygiene grads to apply as well.  The RDH we hire must have an active hygiene license for the state of PA or must be applying for hygiene license soon.

Responsibilities

  • Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times 
  • Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
  • Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
  • Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
  • Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Active Hygiene license for the state of Pennsylvania
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
