KidZdent Pediatric Dental Care & Orthodontics is looking for a dynamic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our amazing team of professionals at our dental office located in Old Bridge, NJ 08857. This is a part-time position working Tuesday (8-5), Wednesday (1-5), Friday (8-5) & optional 1 Saturday per month (8-12). Schedule has some flexibility.
As a Pediatric Dental Hygienist, you would need to be skilled in establishing a positive and trusting relationship with patients that range in age from birth through college, including special needs children and special needs young adults. You will be responsible for promoting and educating about proper oral hygiene and good dietary habits in a fun, yet professional manner. You will conduct initial patient health screenings, perform prophylaxis and fluoride treatments, place preventive dental sealants, take digital radiographs, and practice the highest levels of infection control. You will be responsible for thorough, accurate chart notes and will do periodontal charting for our patients aged 16 and over. You will work together with a team of highly qualified dental hygienists, dental assistants, and pediatric dentists to decipher dental treatment needs, and to recognize and refer patients for orthodontic treatment. You should have a deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for recognizing oral diseases and anomalies.
