Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant who thrives in a highly detailed and patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong problem solver who can anticipate the needs of both the doctor and the patient. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, ensuring efficiency and a seamless patient experience.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms while adhering to strict sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Take high-quality digital radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with state regulations.
- Fabricate temporary crowns and restorations with precision.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including charting and treatment documentation.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive practices.
- Provide outstanding customer service in a PPO and fee-for-service practice.
- Work within a single-column treatment model while delivering high-attention patient care.
- Follow detailed instructions and assist in executing treatment plans efficiently.
- Listen carefully to the doctor and respond promptly to direction.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a high-end practice.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required.
- Radiology certification required (must be able to take X-rays).
- Ability to fabricate temporary crowns and restorations.
- Proficiency in Dentrix is preferred.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills, common sense, and the ability to anticipate needs.
- Must be able to follow directions and work efficiently under supervision.
- Experience in a high-maintenance practice with a strong patient focus.
- Must live within a commutable distance from the office (consideration may be given to candidates within a 10-17 mile commute)
- Background check required.
