American Dental Center is currently looking for a Dental Billing Clerk to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth processing of insurance claims and maintaining accurate dental records. This position requires a strong understanding of dental coding, insurance verification, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. The Insurance Coordinator will work closely with both patients and healthcare providers to facilitate efficient communication and resolution of insurance-related issues. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • reviewing unpaid insurance claims report identifying outstanding insurance
  • updating insurance/collection reminder calendar
  • reviewing insurance explanation of benefits for payment accuracy
  • insurance plan set up in QSI
  • update fee schedules; billing – file all insurance – primary/secondary with insurance companies
  • confirm pre-authorizations for treatment
  • be a back-up to the front desk.

Qualifications

 

  • 3 years' or more of experience working with dental or medical insurance billing
  • Strong knowledge of dental, required
  • Full knowledge of sending/posting dental insurance claims (general/specialty)
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Superior customer service skills
