As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00

Position Overview:

The person will be a support person to all the staff members and patients in his/her office. They will answer phones, handle patient inquiries, make appointments, and assist with the completion of the patient’s treatment plans through acceptable financial arrangements while being flexible in handling requests and projects assigned by other staff and/or the Office Manager. • Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program

or

• Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
• X-Ray certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
