Delgado & Kuzmik is looking for a Dental Assistant in Vienna, Virginia to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

The Surgical Assistant is essential in supporting our surgeons during procedures while ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow and a comfortable experience for our patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons during oral surgery procedures, including anesthesia cases

  • Prepare and set up surgical trays and operatories

  • Take and process digital X-rays, including 3D scans (CBCT)

  • Review pre-operative and post-operative instructions with patients

  • Take digital impressions

  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and treatment rooms in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines

  • Stock and organize supplies

  • Support overall clinical efficiency and patient care

Qualifications

  • Required: Dental or oral surgery assisting experience

  • Knowledge of oral surgery procedures and anesthesia support preferred

  • Experience with digital imaging and impressions is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and patient care skills

  • Team-oriented, dependable, and a fast learner

  • X-Ray certification - Required
  • Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
