Patient Service Representative - Dental Office Experience Required
Evanston Dental is seeking an experienced Patient Service Representative to join our team in Evanston, IL.
Please Note: Recent dental office front desk experience is required. Applicants without dental office experience will not be considered.
We are looking for a professional, patient-focused individual who enjoys providing exceptional customer service while supporting a busy dental practice. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and experienced with dental scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communications.
Position Overview
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will help create an exceptional patient experience while supporting the clinical team and Office Manager.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Answer multi-line phones and respond to patient questions following company policies.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Manage the daily appointment schedule.
- Follow up on missed appointments and cancellations.
- Verify and update patient information.
- Register patients and maintain accurate patient records.
- Post patient charges and payments accurately.
- Discuss treatment plans and financial arrangements with patients.
- Check and respond to voicemail messages daily.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and clinical team as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in a dental office front desk or patient service role is required.
- Experience scheduling dental appointments and answering multi-line phones.
- Knowledge of dental insurance plans, including PPO and HMO plans.
- Experience verifying insurance benefits and collecting patient payments is preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour (based on experience)
Full-Time Schedule
- Monday: 6:30 AM-5:15 PM
- Tuesday: 12:45 PM-5:30 PM
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM-3:45 PM
- Friday: 6:15 AM-2:15 PM
