We are seeking a dedicated IT Asset Specialist to manage the lifecycle of IT assets across the Dental Care Alliance organization. This is an onsite role in downtown Sarasota, FL. The role involves inventory control, ordering, tracking, reclaiming equipment, and overseeing equipment leases. The ideal candidate ensures assets are efficiently managed, tracked, and utilized to support business operations.
All team members of Dental Care Alliance are expected to support each other and the mission, which will include projects and performing functions not specifically outlined in the job description.
Oversee and maintain accurate records of IT assets inventory; including computers, mobile devices, peripherals, and other technology equipment.
· Coordinate the ordering and procurement of IT equipment and supplies, working closely with IT vendors and internal stakeholders.
· Track the assignment, location, and status of all IT assets using asset management systems.
· Proactively follow up with employees and departments to reclaim equipment when no longer in use or when employees separate.
· Manage equipment lease agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation for leased and owned equipment.
· Schedule and perform semi-annual inventory audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards.
· Collaborate with IT and other departments to manage hardware refresh cycles, equipment replacement, and change management.
· Maintain detailed documentation of asset management activities, processes, and procedures.
· Generate and present reports on inventory status, asset lifecycle, and cost analysis.
· Provide guidance and support to end users regarding equipment requests, issues, and proper usage.
· Identify opportunities to improve asset management processes and implement best practices.
Preferred Associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology or related field preferred.
· Minimum 2 years of directly related experience managing technology hardware and software assets.
· Strong analytical and organizational skills.
· Proficiency in IT asset management systems and inventory tracking software, such as Asset Panda or ServiceNow.
· Ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams for procurement and asset management.
· Familiarity with equipment lease administration.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
· Basic knowledge of IT hardware and software configurations.
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
· IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITAM, or similar.
· Preferred Associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology or related field preferred.
· Knowledge of procurement best practices and vendor management.
