Overview

Konikoff Dental Center, located in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a dedicated Dental Sterilization Technician  to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all dental instruments and handpieces
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of operatories and sterilization areas
  • Prepare, package, and organize instrument trays and sterilized packs
  • Monitor, restock, and maintain clinical and sterilization supplies
  • Pour and trim dental models as needed
  • Ensure treatment rooms are properly turned over between patients
  • Take and process dental X-rays (FMX, BWX) if certified
  • Ensure instruments and rooms are fully prepared for daily patient flow
  • Follow all infection control and safety protocols
  • Support overall clinic flow and assist with additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience with dental instrument sterilization and operatory turnover required
  • X-ray certification preferred (FMX/BWX)
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures and dental equipment
  • Up to 1 year of dental or healthcare-related experience preferred (training in biology, health sciences, or similar a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
  • Reliable, organized, and team-oriented

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of dental office practices and equipment.
  • Up to one year experience in a dental office assisting other technicians or having completed classroom instruction in related areas of biology, chemistry, health, or preclinical instruction in dental assisting skills and related theory.
  • Experience working in a dental office breaking down rooms and sterilizing equipment
  • Demonstrated ability in a detailed work environment and working according to established formats and protocols.
  • Ability to interact effectively with other employees as well as with the general public.
