Position Overview

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you will be an integral member of our clinical team, providing chairside support and assisting our hygiene department in delivering exceptional preventive care. We are looking for a dependable, patient-focused professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives as part of a team.

Dental assisting experience is required.

  • Full-time schedule: Monday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and one Saturday per month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization
  • Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress
  • Update patient health history and chart treatment progress
  • Expose and develop radiographs (if certified)
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Cordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments
  • Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems
  • Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA

Qualifications

 

 
  • High school diploma or GED required
  •  
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a dental practice required
  •  
  • Dental Assisting certificate or degree preferred, but not required
  •  
  • Current radiology certification required
  •  
  • CPR certification preferred (or willing to obtain upon hire)
  •  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  •  
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
  •  
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
  •
